Beautiful Bridgewater beach is 2 minutes stroll away, or look out the window! Whales sighted regularly from May til October. The famous Great South West Walk goes straight past the door. This is part of 380km walking track from Portland through to the South Australian Border, right along the coast.

Locality

Cape Bridgewater is located 18 km's from Portland.
Portland is a coastal town located 400km southwest of Melbourne and 600km's southeast of Adelaide.
The only natural deep sea harbour in southern Australia. Cape Bridgewater is mainly holiday houses. The kiosk is the only shop, but sells your basic's.
Bridgewater beach is know for consistant surf and great for all levels of ability. Surf patroled during summer.
Walking tracks are endless. They can take you to: Seal Colony veiwing platform, Shelley Beach, Petrified Forest and the Blowholes in wild Discovery Bay.
Bridgewater Lakes are only 5 minutes drive away. Water sking is popular on the lakes.
The whole area is popular with bird watching. The only mainland Garnett Colony in Australia is situated on the coast near Portland.
