Cape Forbin Retreat is remote, wild and stunningly beautiful.

This 28 hectare property is situated on the far north western coastline of Kangaroo Island. Perched above a private beach at the mouth of the De Mole River, the retreat offers spectacular views down the coast to Cape Borda. You will be able to soak up the sun on the beach below the house, walk along some of the highest cliffs in South Australia, fish off the beach or the rocks and encounter an abundance of echidnas, goannas, rare birds, kangaroos, possums and wallabies, many of which come to visit in the evenings. In the winter you will be able to warm up by the pot belly stove and watch the storms as they push in over Investigator Strait.

Cape Forbin Retreat is fully set up with solar and backup generator power, DVD player and limited satellite television coverage. But you may find no need for these facilities.

Far away from civilization you can rediscover the sunsets, the brilliance of stars, the crashing of waves breaking on the rocks below and the silence and solitude of night.
