Bed & Breakfast

Cambridge House was built by John Geeves an Englishman from Fowlmere in Cambridgeshire. He was a founder member of Geeveston and owned a saw mill opposite the house, from whence the beautiful wood he used to build the house derived from. The House has had a chequered history, on one occasion in the 1920's having Gelignite thrown at the back door!!
It is a short walk to the shops and restaurants in the centre of the lovely village of Geeveston, and is central to the Hartz Mountains National Park, The Tahune AirWalk and the fabulous Hastings Caves, as well as some breathtaking beaches and stunning scenery.

The Guest Lounge and Dining Room is exclusively for the use of our guests. Ideal on those warm evenings to relax with a pre dinner drink or in the grounds of our beautiful garden or just watching the Platypus and Ducks feeding.
We have five letting rooms, all of which are named after the Geeves family members:

Two queen sized bedrooms with en suite facilities, one has a King Single bed in it as well.
One Family room (One double bed plus two single beds)
One Twin-bedded room (One room with two single beds)
One double bed room.
Both these rooms are popular with group bookings.

Directions: 70 km South of Hobart, on the A6 (Southern Outlet) passing through Huonville and then on to Geeveston. We are 300 metres outside of Geeveston on the way to Dover. You cant miss us!!

Locality

This is the closest accommodation for the Tahune Airwalk. Other attractions close by are Hastings Caves & it's thermal pool, Ida Bay Historic Railway & Cockle Creeek - which is as far south as you can drive in Australia! Very close by is Hartz Mountain Nat. Park where there are spectacular walks, both long & short. Bruny Island makes a fantastic day trip & as well the locality has lots of craft & timber places, wineries & even a sheep cheesery. Cambridge House is a 2 minute walk to the town's amenities & nearby you can play golf, bowls, fly fish, go boating, hang gliding, enjoy the bush & beaches or some of the many restaurants.

We have 2 spacious downstairs ensuite rooms, 1 has a Queen bed, the other room a Queen bed & a King Single, costs for these are $130 - $140/night. Upstairs there are 2 rooms with double beds & another with twin beds. There is a shared bathroom upstairs, however only 2 rooms are ever occupied at once unless it is a group together or families.Each room is &110/night. All rates include our fully cooked country breakfasts served in the dining room.
