The Nest.

Stylish and private, The Nest is a self-contained cottage hugging the edge of the rainforest and overlooking the flowing Johnstone River. For your comfort there is a Queen Size bed, indulgent double spa bath (also candles for the romantics), robes provided,separate shower. To help satisfy the appetite you can cook up your own gourmet dinner in the kitchen with 2 burner stove top, convection microwave, large electric frypan etc or for snacking there is an electric sandwich maker, coffee plunger (ground coffee provided)or there is an electric BBQ on the verandah, all offering a smorgasboard of options. Your breakfast goodies will already have been placed in the fridge.
TV/DVD with complimentary movies, CD player/radio.
The verandah and boardwalk are your perfect platforms from which to view bird and wildlife over morning coffee or sunset drinks, totally rejuvenating.

Locality

It is an ideal romantic hideaway or magical holiday retreat whilst exploring the many attractions of the scenic Tropical Tablelands, crater Lakes Barrine and Eacham for walking and great and safe year round freshwater swimming and picnicking, fantastic birdwatching, historical sites, oldest still operating movie theatre in Australia (Malanda Majestic Theatre offers movies and locally produced live theatre), waterfall circuit. Approximately 40 mintues drive will place you on the Northern Tablelands well known for its coffee growing, delicious mangoes (in season), the Mareeba Wetlands, hot air ballooning to name just a few attractions/activities.
Centrally situated to all the Tableland attractions, Sharlynn is 5 minutes drive from Malanda offering good shopping for all your holiday essentials and more, and 10 minutes from Yungburra, the restaurant heart of the Southern Tablelands.

Property

3.5 acres of gardens right on the banks of the North Johnstone River at the end of a quiet Close. The only noise you will hear is the river cascading over the rocks and the call of the many forest birds.
