This soothing home has everything for your family or couple holiday.

We offer a meet and greet at the airport and will direct you to your private retreat.

The kitchen, living area, dining area and sun room has views to the pool and deck area so you can keep an eye on the kids when they are swimming from within the house.

Your enormous gourmet kitchen has a large double door fridge / freezer with ice and water facilities on the door. Your kitchen is supplied with all the cooking appliances you will need for your stay away from home including a cook top, oven and microwave. It is equipped with electric cooking appliances, cutlery, bowls, plates, cups, beer glasses and champagne glasses for those romantic nights.

The living room has a luxurious wrap around rattan lounge seated around the large 42-inch plasma wide screen TV with surround sound and a DVD player. Austar is also free. There will be a collection of in house movies for your entertainment along with books, CD’s, games and toys for your kids.

The dining table can seat 6 - 8 people comfortably.

The sun room as a large suede lounge and two suede arm chairs. This is a relaxing room open to the dining and living room overlooking the pool and views over the deck. This is a great relaxing room used for reading or listening to your favorite music.

The outdoor patio has a 6 burner side wok barbecue. Under the patio there is a fan and you can relax with outdoor furniture / tables & entertain your friends. There are 5 pool lounges and 4 pool arm chairs located under a large sun umbrella.

The pool is a 9 meter lap pool with side steps & the spa can seat up to 15 people. The pool / spa are fenced.

The pool and spa is positioned on a large timber deck that stretches out to the rainforest & views over the valley.

Your home is fully air-conditioned with ceiling fans throughout.
The property is fully fenced to keep those unwanted animals out and your pets in. Undercover 2 door garage parking for security.

To value everything that far north Queensland has to offer we suggest that you HIRE A CAR. If you require assistance please advise prior to your stay.

Driving along the Misty plateau through to your retreat in the rainforest you will be indulged by the lush inviting ubiquitous Sugar cane fields and the cool change when driving to your home in the clouds.

During your stay at our house lookout for the following:
The Blue Ulysses Butterfly.
The Green Tree Frog.
The Cane Toad.
Feed the Bush Turkeys.
If your lucky you might see a regular visitor of the rainforest the ‘Racing Lizard’. (They have sharp claws so look but don’t touch).

Crystal Cascades is a short 5 minute drive from the house. On the way for a romantic picnic and swim for two at crystal cascades, drop your kids off at 'Laser tag' for a fun controlled activity within the rainforest. Laser Tag is an outdoor combat team sport much like skirmish, but better.

The famous Palm Cove Beach is located 25 minutes by car, but why go to the beach where there are stingers. Palm Beach is a great place for breakfast or dining and we highly recommend NU NU for dining and a stroll along the beach only.

A great day out would be to take the train up to the famous Kuranda markets and hop on the sky rail back. Your vehicle will take you right into the rainforest, cascading water falls and the almighty Barron Gorge, a deep chasm lined with dense rainforest vegetation. A Must for all visitors.

Cairns is right in the heart of one of the seven wonders of the world ~ The Great Barrier Reef. Access to the reef are at your finger tips with most companies offering pick ups from your home. If you are not a good swimmer, new to snorkeling or have kids we recommend a day out at Green Island don’t forget sun block and a hat. For the enthusiast that are confident in the water we recommend 'Ocean Spirit Cruises or Quicksilver'. These vessels go to the outer barrier reef and offer scuba diving for first timers.

For the romantic - you might desire a balloon ride over cairns.
A drive to Port Douglas and have breakfast with the birds at the Zoo. Stop in at the Mossman Gorge for a refreshing dip.

Cairns now offer’s cable water skiing which is very popular with the kids.

There is so much to do and see and I would recommend two weeks to see everything. We will do our best to assist you with your tours. We will leave an assortment of brochures and maps at the house of our recommended tours.

Your holiday home - The Rainforest Family Retreat nestled within the rainforest is an extremely large home suited for families up to 8 people. All furnishings in the home are brand new and you will be swept of your feet by the views and exclusion of the property within the rainforest.
The deck protruding out to the rainforest is a great place to relax, entertain or just read a book around the pool.
Bedrooms are all fitted with king beds and your gourmet kitchen is more than adequate for your cooking needs.
