Sojourn at Byron. This bed and breakfast was purpose built and opened in August 08. Each beautiful guest room has a private entrance, deck and a spa bath. Enjoy a cooked breakfast daily overlooking the pool. Afternoon tea is served on arrival.

Bed & Breakfast

Sojourn at Byron bed and breakfast is situated on 2.5 acres of garden consisting of a wet edged pool as well as 3 ponds which attract ducks, many birds, and the occasional wallaby. The ponds are fed by natural springs. The landscaped garden is lovely to wander around and you are invited to inspect the fruit trees, vegie patch, herbs and plant garden. Sojourn has access to town water as well as its own tank water. The hot water in the guest rooms is solar heated.

The guest lounge overlooks the pool and deck and is heated by a log fire in winter and cooling fans in the summer. There are magazines, books, and games to borrow or read in the lounge room or various seating areas around the property. DVD's are available to borrow and watch in the privacy of your room.

Each rooms has its own private entrance with a private deck. Some snacks are provided in the rooms and there is a guest fridge right out the door to cool your wine or place some snacks. No food preparation is permitted in the rooms. Filtered water is available in the fridge and in your room and is changed daily.

The ensuites each have a spa bath and Sanctum products are provided. Guest robes and slippers are supplied. Towels for the pool are available on request.

We have one handicapped room which has a separate shower as well as spa and is accessible by a ramp suitable for wheel chairs.

On arrival, afternoon tea or a glass of wine will be provided. Breakfast is served between 8am and 10am and much of the produce is grown on site or sourced from the local farmers' markets. Biscuits and cakes are made in our kitchen.

BBQ meat and salads can be provided by arrangement.

Ewingsdale is a pretty area and lovely place to take a walk. At the end of Bay Vista Lane there is a regenerated rain forest area.

Sojourn is close to Byron to visit the beach or dine in one of the many restaurants. Bangalow,(a trendy little shopping town), Mullumbimby and Broken Head are also nearby and are interesting places to visit.

Locality

Sojourn at Ewingsdale is 6.5 kms out of Byron. A taxi fare from town to Sojourn is $20.

Sojourn at Byron is eaily accessible to both Ballina (30 mins) and the Gold Coast (50 mins) airports. Shuttle buses are available at both airports but it is recommended if flying to hire a car at the airport (pre arranged).
