The a-frame Cottage overlooks an enchanting valley that inspired the children's book and movie "Fern Gully". Centrally located just 15 minutes to the center of Byron, 10 minutes to Bangalow and 8 minutes to Mullumbimby. We are just down the road from the Crystal Castle and just up the road from Coorabell Hall.

The Cedar Cottage overlooks 120 acres of valley and rainforest with bush walks, natural swimming pools, giant fig trees and has a macadamia and frangipanis farm.

This romantic hideaway is a fully self-contained one-bedroom cottage which also has an upstairs loft with an overhead fan.

From the open plan lounge area walk out onto a large open balcony. Sit down and relax on the outdoor furniture and look out over Fern Gully as the sun sets right before your eyes. Truly peaceful bliss.

Enjoy an outdoor bbq next to the house or utilise the other bbq on the balcony.

Full kitchen facilities; full sized fridge, microwave, coffee maker, stove and oven.

Big Screen T.V, DVD, stereo and washing machine and dryer.

We are located 15 minute drive from Byron Bay in the hinterland called Coorabell. The cottage faces almost direct West and therefore you can enjoy the sunsets every night on the balcony.

Grocery shopping can either be done in Byron or Mullumbimby which is only 8 minutes away. Bangalow and Brunswick Heads is a 15 minute drive. On the other side of the valley sits Federal which is a 15 minute drive.

We are just five minutes drive North to the Crystal Castle and five minute drive South to Coorabell Hall.

It is very peaceful in the hinterland with very little noise but for birds, frogs and crickets. Your nearest neighbours are approximately 250 meters from the cottage.

As the name depicts this "A" frame Cottage is made from Cedar. It was built in the 1970's and still maintains it's oringinal charm with all the modern conveniences you'll need for a comfortable stay.

Most of the property is open paddock with some macadamia trees therefore allowing for beautiful valley views of Fern Gully which stretches for 25 kilometers to the other side of the valley in Federal. The pictures on this site is exactly how it looks.

There is one separate bedroom with two double beds as well as an upstairs loft with a Queen bed. There is a separate bathroom with laundry.

The Cottage sleeps six people comfortably and has a sofabed and outdoor futon that can sleep and extra four people when required. Maximum sleeping for 8 people unless otherwise discussed with management.
