Bed & Breakfast, Self-contained apartment

Being centrally located on the North West Coast of Tasmania and 5 minutes drive from the Bass Highway on a paved road makes an ideal stopover or base place when visiting Tasmania.
The property provides interesting gardens, meditation room, and peace and quiet. There is a secure fenced grassed area great for children and games adjacent to the home. Continental breakfast is provided for guests. The separate self contained apartment has 1 Queen bed in the living area and 2 single beds in a separate bedroom, own entrance, kitchen and bathroom. Laundry and recreation room are shared

Locality

The paved road past the door leads on to the inland to Cradle Mountain, via a winery, wildlife park, and a feature garden. A trout fishing dam is in the vicinity.

Penguin, nearest town is 10 minutes to the East, with its famous Sunday covered markets, restaurants, and beach.

Burnie, the nearest city is 15 minutes to the West with interesting features as Creative Paper Making displays, museum, Whiskey Distillery tours, restaurants, and Rhododendron gardens.

Property

Our property of 9 acres is being designed to follow permaculture principles with its main focus growing blueberries. Our West boundary is a reserve which leads down to the Blythe River. We are keen gardeners and love growing our own vegetables fruit and herbs without chemicals. This produce is available to our guests depending on the season. Our aim is have a diverse range of animals and plants. We are ecologically aware, plan the use of biolytix waste disposal with an irrigation area, plant trees each winter, have solar panels on our roof for electricity, a worm farm, and a friendly dog to keep away the possums from the roses.
