"The house was very quiet and comfortable, and in a pleasant neighbourhood. We felt very relaxed there. The beach was nearby, as was access to the Bundeena ferry. We had some problems getting in to the house on our first day, but all was well after that."

"This was my second stay at Carrickfergus - because i loved it the first time so much. We sat around eating, drinking, and laughing. It was so relaxing. Across the road, to the reserve, we watched the beautiful sunrise above the ocean, and it was just a stroll to all the local attractions. Such a comfy place with everything you need to feel at peace. I will definately go back. Two thumbs up."

"Wonderful holiday venue. The house was welcoming and clean. Plenty of indoor activities to do as well as up to date local information. I could imagine having a huge family reunion here lots of beds and chairs etc.,where everyone could just muck in and share the chores. We enjoyed the ferry rides and river cruise as well as just lazing in the garden with the dogs and a book. The ferries allow dogs but not the cruises. We took Lambert and Jedda over to Cronulla and experienced the cafe scene over there too.The house is very dog friendly and dogs were well catered for ie: fences etc. Lambert and Jedda gave it 5 stars."

"Carrickfergus is a cottage with the basics, comfortable, light and airy. Once there no need to drive anywhere. Walk across the road to beach, follow beach to walking tracks and shops or catch a ferry to Cronulla. We had the perfect long weekend when we stayed."
