Bed & Breakfast

Just 4 1/2 hours north of Brisbane is Inglebrae Bed and Breakfast a restored old Queenslander (Circa 1910) located in the heart of Bundaberg's central business district. Because of its locality you will be able to take a stroll down to one of the many fine restaurants for dinner, shop to your hearts content or take a leisurely cruise up the river on the Bundy Belle.
Inglebrae has beautifully appointed bedrooms with ensuites and air-conditioning. Little extras such as port and chocolates in your room add to the luxury of your stay. Bundaberg is located at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef, Lady Musgrave and Lady Elliott Island departure points are easily accessible from Inglebrae. We are only a 10 minute drive to the many beaches for swimming and snorkelling. Come in turtle season which is from November to March and watch the turtles laying or hatching, a wonderful experience indeed. Cyclists will enjoy the area. Due to the flatness of Bundaberg it is an ideal location for many day trips and making Inglebrae the ideal base to stay. A 4 course sumptuous breakfast is served on the verandah overlooking the gardens and tea, coffee and cake is available at all times. With our local knowledge we can assist with your touring plans. For those coming by car we have undercover parking and those travelling by plane, train or bus we will provide transfer free of charge. Bundaberg enjoys a wonderful climate with our winters averaging 20 deg. so there is always plenty to do and see including the famous Bundaberg Rum distillery, Bundaberg Brewed drinks and our lovely Botanical Gardens just to name a few. From the time you enter through the front gate of Inglebrae you will experience true Australian country hospitality. We hope to see you when you next visit Bundaberg.

Locality

Inglebrae is walking distance to shops, restaurants, bowling clubs. The famous Bundaberg Rum Distillery and Bundaberg Brewed Drinks the makers of Ginger Beer and other great drinks is also very much a must to visit.

Take a trip up the Burnett River on the Bundy Belle. The interesting commentary will give you the opportunity to learn more about the area and see the Port of Bundaberg and the three marinas.

Hinkler House the home of the famous aviator Bert Hinkler who was the first man to fly slo from the UK to Australia has his house re-constructed and is situated in the lovely Botanical Gardens. The gardens are also home to the Bundaberg Museum.

Take a trip to 1770 and go over to the Great Barrier Reef at Lady Musgrave Island or fly from Bundaberg to Lady Elliott Island to visit the reef and enjoy snorkelling and reef walks, see turtles, Manta Rays and great fish life. The waters around this area are free of stingers.

Marvel at the secrets of Mystery Crates or take a trip to Cania Gorge and enjoy great bushwalking.
