Attractions

The hardest thing you will have to do after your stay is to leave.

Go shopping for pearls, see beautiful sunsets, watch the natural phenomenon of the staircase to the moon, which only happens at certain times of the year when the tides are low on a full moon, as the moon rises it reflects across the mud flats to give the illusion of stairs leading to the moon.

Visit Australia's oldest outdoor cinema. Watch migratory birds from the Broome Bird Observatory at Crab Creek.
Visit & stay at aboriginal communities. Go fishing for mud crabs or barramundi. See the dinosaur footprints. Take the hovercraft tour out to see the flying boat wrecks shot down in the early 1940s.

Windmill Lodge is located just outside the main township of Broome.

4 min drive to most attractions.
Situated on one hectare of land with bush & tropical surrounds. Solid timber flooring throughout complements the building which is part of the old hospital, long since removed from Broome.

The house has unique character and is a very special place. Indulge your senses and unwind, you won't believe how relaxed you will feel. Swim in the pool or sit in the spa. Enjoy breakfast on the timber deck watching visiting peacocks, and an abundance of bird life before heading off to explore.
