"We used the house as a base for our daughters wedding. The room downstairs was brilliant for a quiet retreat for the couple to enjoy, while friends and family were able to drop in at any time (once they found it). Our post wedding luncheon on Sunday received lots of rages about how wonderful the house was. We await photos to see the ambience created by the cottage itself in the photos. Would recommend staying for the more energetic person, with the Paddinton hills and steep stairs. No room for young children to play but older ones could amuse themselves for short periods."

"We stayed at the Cottage for a week in March 2009 for our wedding. The house was excellent, a home away from home but with the ambience of staying in a 5 star hotel. Everything was of high quality right down to the towels and kitchen utensils. We would highly recommend this house to all future brides and couples as the location was convenient to the city and close to quality restaurants, shops and bars. There is also a wonderful hair salon about 5 mins away called Suzina Melina wwww.suzinamelina.com.au, a great pizza shop called Hell's Pizza in Paddington and the sushi bar at the paddington plaza where Coles is are all fantastic. Wish we could have stayed longer. "

"We really enjoyed our stay in City Cottage Brisbane a lot. The accommodation has its very own charm in a very well renovated lovely building. We especially liked the big outside terrasse where we spent most of our time, despite the occasional rain. The kids enjoyed the BBQ Dad was preparing.

The house itself exceeded our expectations. Even with 3 kids, we had enough space to feel comfortable, despite some rainy days which we partly spent "at home" - and we felt quickly "at home". The open, very clean and modern kitchen is well integrated into the living room, so that the family gathering is possible anytime, even when Mom (or Dad? :-) ) has to prepare dinner.

With regards to the location, walking distance there was a public swimming pool. But all other infrastructure (supermarket, butcher, bakery, pharmacy, doctors ..) is somewhat 5 to max. 10 car ride away. The house is located in a calm residential area with a nice little park in front of the house.

We also would like to mention the friendly services we received by the landlord, Peter.

After we arrived, Peter drove me around to get familiar with the location and showed me where to find supermarket etc. And besides this I also learnt a little about Brisbane on that ride.

Any family who does not like hotels but is looking for some nice and relaxed holidays in a nice accommodation, we can highly recommend City Cottage.

"Hi Peter,
I would just like to congratulate you and your wife on sharing such a beatiful holiday residence with my family and myself. From the moment we arrived (which was about an hour earlier than we were supposed to) we were greated at the door with a friendly smile welcoming us. The cleanliness and quality of the house was way above standard. The bedrooms,, especially the main with the walk in wardrobe were really beautiful and it was lovely to walk out the french doors onto the patio of an evening and watch all the city lights. My daughter who is doing her VCE this year really appreciated the use of the computor so she could keep up with her studies. With a family of 4 adults and 2 children the asset of having 2 toilets (well need I say more). Even though we had rain all of one day there were more than enough things within the home to keep everyone amused and happy. I would like to thank you personally for the extra time you took to drive my husband around the area pointing out the location of important services e.g. supermarkets, chemists, doctors, service stations etc. this made it so much easier for us, instead of the usual driving all over the countryside trying to find these amenities we were able to spend more time enjoying our holiday. I cannot rate "City Cottage's" high enough to everyone. Once again thank you for the extra special time you gave to my family and myself.

"The house was fantastic. Having two families we were able to have seperate rooms for each couple and also single beds for the kids. We set the cot up(which was provided for a small fee) in the master bedroom. The arrangements with the two families worked really well as we were able to go downstairs to our own space with a TV and video in our room plus cosy reverse cycle air conditioning to help with the cool evenings.
City Cottage was spacious enough that no-one got in each other's way, The outside area was ideal for just sitting and relaxing while listening to the water feature. The baby was also able to crawl around the place and outside without being in danger. The bathroom is luxurious with overhead heated lights.
All in all we had a great time, parked the car securely, had heaps of room with a wonderful view to the city. It is so close to the city that public transport is easy.

Definitely a 5 out of 5 rating for this place."
