This original 1920's home, now a traditionally updated classic so close to the Brisbane CBD, is located in the suburb of Kangaroo Point with the convenience of all public transport close by. The world famous Gabba Cricket Ground is only 300 meters away, yet with all this, the home is still so quiet and private. Featuring high ceilings, the classic interior offers a spacious ambient atmosphere. The air-conditioned main lounge and dining are large separate rooms stylishly furnished with a formal entry, and charming bay window seat. From the lounge and dining, guests will access both the air-conditioned master bedroom with its own romantic window seat, and the second bedroom, also a double room with built in wardrobes. Both these bedrooms then open through French doors to a pleasant sunroom. The sunroom, is a superb space that can accommodate extra sleeping, a home office, rumpus room or simply remain a delightful verandah with original casement windows running it's entire length that provide endless river breezes. It is also accessed from the third bedroom by a short hall that leads to the new kitchen, the modern bathroom and separate toilet.The kitchen provides an effortless catering experience for any group size, featuring ample granite bench tops, stainless steel appliances and fittings, and island bench. A rear internal staircase leads to the lower level, a large open area completely enclosed and secured by new battening on a raised concrete floor where the laundry, double car accommodation and home gym are located. This level, including an extra large storeroom can be accessed from the street via the remote control garage door.The rear courtyard merges here with the inside, from the lockable open space at the foot of the internal stairs.
