The home is within walking distance of fine sea food restaurants & a playground, & it's 5 minutes drive to the shops, supermarket, post office, banks, cafes, the harbourside. Bay View has 2 lounges - a front sun lounge perfect to sit and take morning coffee whilst gazing over the Bay to Stradbroke Island & the passing sail boats. The second lounge is airconditioned & is a comfortable, well equipped area to sit & watch tv or play a board game, read a book. The 6 seater dining area is located in the back sun lounge, overlooking the rear garden and water, next to the separate modern well equipped kitchen . Enjoy a meal while you take in the glorious water views.

The list of things to do is endless but here are a few suggestions to get you started: Stradbroke Island is only a 30 min ferry journey away with the port just a short 5 minute drive away from the house. Straddie is a water lovers playground with fantastic sandy beaches, surfing and nature walks. In the whale migration season watch the awesome display from the humpback whales as they pass by on their journey to their winter breeding grounds. Alternatively, visit Moreton Island and have a go at diving on the shipwrecks or feeding the dolphins by hand.
Enjoy a drink and a meal at the oldest licensed pub in Queensland - The Grand View Hotel. Have a sumptious meal at the The Old Courthouse Restaurant & see if you can spot the ghost that is said to reside there. Both restaurants are only 2 minutes drive away. Enjoy fresh fish & other delicacies at the famous Lighthouse Restaurant - a 3 minute walk from the house!
Visit the art galleries, Redland museum, historic Ormiston House. Go Koala spotting or bushwalking. Take a boat trip out onto the Bay and enjoy a day of fishing or adventure sailing.

Children are welcome to stay at Bay View but note this house is located right on the waterfront - the back garden ends at the sea! There is no barrier between the garden and the water - this home may therefore not suit families with young toddlers or children who are not water safety wise.

This property sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms. There are 2 queen sized rooms plus a third bedroom containing 2 single beds. A port-a-cot is also available should this be required for infants. One of the queen rooms has a WIR large enough to comfortably hold the port-a-cot if preferred.

All bedding (pillows, doonas) is provided. High quality bed linen (sheets, pillow cases) is also provided.
Tea towels, bath mat and bath towels are provided but guests are asked to bring their own beach towels.
