Running Creek Castle is nestled in the secluded Kancoona Valley, North East Victoria at the base of the Victorian Alps.

Our two beautiful suites offer guests the utmost in privacy each suite is on three levels and contains a lounge, kitchen, bathroom, and one loft style bedroom with either king or queen bed overlooking the lounge and now a second bedroom with one double and one single bed. The suites also have their own seperate entries and undercover parking facility.

In keeping with our attention to privacy and relaxation, breakfast is supplied to each suite with guests preparing it as and when they wish.

For guests not wishing to self cater their lunch or dinner we now offer guests freshly prepared pizzas and garlic bread.

Guests can enjoy a dip in our solar heated salt water pool, a hit of squash, quiet time in our expansive gardens, a fish in Running Creek or simply take in the stunning mountainous views from the suite, balcony or turret.

Suitable for couples or families. We have on offer for children a sensational play area for their amusement and the second bedroom comes complete with a TV/DVD/IPOD Doc.

For the bird lover a large avary containing a variety of parrots including Maya the blue and gold macaw.

The castle construction includes period features of historic value and interest and the detail is authentic with a time long past.

Nearby centres include Bright, Mt Beauty, Myrtleford, Falls Creek, Beechworth, Yackandandah and Albury/Wodonga.

Location

Kancoona Valley is located in between Bright, Myrtleford and Mt Beauty. It is approximately an hour from Falls Creek & Mt Buffalo Snowfields. It is also approximately 1 hour from Albury/Wodonga and the Rutherglen Wine Region. From Melbourne we are approximately 3 hours drive.

Standard room rate including breakfast for one couple is $185.00. An additional charge of $35 applies for extra people over the age of 10, for children aged 3 to 10 the extra charge per person is $20 and children 2 & under sleeping in a porticot are free.

Bookings of 3 nights or more receive special rate of $170 per night per couple including breakfast. And a discount rate would also be calculated for extra people staying three nights or more (depending on ages of extras and time stayed).

Given that the accommodation is self contained a discount rate is also available to guests who prefer to supply their own breakfast.
