Merrimeet is the ideal getaway for couples to celebrate a special occasion, to explore the beauty of the Alpine High Country in North East Victoria, or to simply relax and do nothing.
Set in a hectare of English woodland garden on the banks of the Ovens River, Merrimeet is a Tudor grand house accompanied by three mews garden apartments and three riverbank cottages.
This elegant self-contained accommodation has been developed in the extensive grounds of one of Bright's most distinctive homes. A few minutes stroll along the path by the river will take you to the heart of Bright village with its cafes, restaurants and gift shops.
Since November 2007 a three bedroom house has been added to our rental property. This house also backs onto the river and is only a few doors away in same street and even closer to town. The garden slopes down to the water's edge and can be seen from the kitchen, lounge room and full length deck. It has spacious living and dining areas.

The 2 one-bedroom garden apartments have queen-sized beds. Linen is provided.
The 1 two-bedroom upstairs apartment has a queen-size bed and a double bed. Linen is provided. This is suitable for 2 couples or 2 singles but not children.
The 1 three-bedroom river house has 2 bedrooms with a queen-size in each (one has an en suite) and 1 bedroom with a single bunk (2 persons). Linen is provided. this is suitable for 6 people.

2 bedroom cottage $165 1st couple, $30 per extra adult,$20 per child.
3 bedroom Riverhouse $200 minimum. $30 per extra adult, $20 per extra child.
Minimum 2 night bookings on weekends. Minimum 3 night bookings on long weekends. Minimum 4 nights Easter and Christmas.
$15 surcharge for 1 night stays.
