Pets are allowed inside and outside but must not be left on the property without the owner present Both cottages have fully fenced gardens. If you wish to bring your pet there is an additional one off charge of $40 per stay to cover cleaning for health regulations.

Cottage, Holiday house, Self-contained apartment

Allambie Cottages & House are a pleasant 5 minute walk to town that can be done via the road or Ovens river. Visit village shops, gourmet cafes, restaurants, antique shops, great hiking trails, wineries and magnificent lookouts.

LINEN AND TOILETRIES ARE SUPPLIED

The cottages designed for the comfort of 2 -4 guests. They are an open plan design so that the mezzanine floor bedroom is above & open to the lounge below. Each has a King sized bed, electric blanket & warm doona. One cottage has a second bedroom with 2 x king single beds and one has a large leather sofa in the lounge that converts to a double bed for extra family, friends or for those of us that snore or kick in our sleep.Extra Linen is supplied at an additional charge when more than 2 people book.

Due to the wire balustrade on the stairs and mezzanine the cottages are not suitable for young children.


Reverse cycle air conditioning keeps you warm in winter & cool in summer.

TVs are located in the lounge area and one on the mezzanine level in case you just want to snuggle up and watch a movie.

Each has full kitchen facilities-oven, microwave, dishwasher. Tea & coffee supplies include Australian leaf tea and 'Sacred Grounds' Fair-trade Organic Plunger coffee.

Each cottage has a BBQ situated in its own exclusive fully fenced courtyard garden .

THE HOUSE is 3 bedroom and is suitable for children.It can accomodate 6 - 8 guests and is similarly appointed with a BBQ located on the large back deck.The deck allows access onto the Rail Trail making it ideal for cycling, children or dog walks.

PETS

For those guests that travel with their pets each has a fully fenced private courtyard. Pets are also allowed inside whilst you are there.

There is an additional pet charge to cover the extra cleaning for health regulations.

Please remember under NO circumstances may your pet be left at the cottages unattended and anything left by your pet (sticks, droppings etc.) must be removed when you leave.

Daisy was happy in the back yard.The location was great so close to the shops and the river.It was beaut that you had thought of everything in house for both Daisy and us. Locality

Our cottages are located close to the Ovens river for relaxing walks along its banks.

There are many wineries that are a pleasant drive away or bicycle ride along the trail for the more energetic.

If you need to hire a bike this can be done in town a short walk away.

Mt buffalo, Mt Hotham, Mt Beauty, Harrietville and Wandilogong are just a few of the places that are easily accessible from Bright.

In winter the snow fields are a pleasant drive but please do not forget your chains or hire them in town.

Property

Allambie cottages are located in a quiet street near to town and the Ovens river. The house is on the main road into Bright down a short lane and backing onto the Rail Trail.

For those that enjoy art the local gallery is just across the road.

There are plenty of walks close by including the Rail Trail & Ovens river. The dog friendly parks & Rail Trail have a good supply of doggy bags in case you run out.
