Holiday house

Come, relax and unwind at K'Garie Cottage Boonooroo. It is situated in a small coastal village on the Fraser Coast 20 km south of Maryborough. The Great Sandy Strait, the stretch of water that separates the mainland from Fraser Island, is on your doorstep. Catch whiting, flathead, tailor and other species as well as crabs in season in the many mangrove estuaries and the deep channel of the strait.
Walk only 40 m and you come to the tidal estuary of Little Tuan Creek. Throw a line in or marvel at the solider crabs on the mud flats at low tide. For the boaties, there is an all tide boat ramp a few minutes' drive away at Big Tuan.
The house is fully screened with Crimsafe doors and most windows and there are views of Fraser Island and Inskip Point. It comfortably sleeps 6, 1 queen, 1 double and 2 single beds. There are 2 bathrooms, a main bathroom with bath and an ensuite. It has an open plan kitchen, dining and living area with electric stove, microwave, fridge and basic appliances. There is a TV/DVD player and in the laundry there is an extra fridge and chest freezer as well as a front loader washing machine.
The large yard is fenced for those of you with small children or pets, with plenty of room for them to run around. There is a study nook in one of the bedrooms if you wish to bring your laptop. Telstra mobile and Telstra prepaid wireless broadband have excellent reception.
The community of Boonooroo has an active Bowls club in walking distance and a little further on, a small golf club. Even closer, at the top of the street there is a public tennis court, playground and picnic area.
The area is a haven for a large variety of birds and other wild life. It is not uncommon to see kangaroos grazing nearby.
Boonooroo is a great central place to explore the region with historic Maryborough 20 minutes away, and Hervey Bay, Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach between 50 minutes to a little over an hour drives.

Our property is securely fenced with 1.4m high fences. It is a large yard with plenty of room to run around.
Pets guests need to bring their own bedding and water and feed bowls.
Pets are allowed on the beach on a lease after 4.00pm each day.
The beach is only 50m from the bottom gate.
