Wonderful accommodation, beautifully restored Jane. Everything was provided for a restful holiday. The private beach was a real highlight and well done Greg for all the new gum trees you have planted.

Great place for R&R. Beautiful B&B - everything we needed. All the little extras you have added made it even more enjoyable. Loved all the old photos depicting your heritage. Can't beat the truck tour.

Thank you Jane & Greg for this lovely getaway. Who needs the Hyatt when we have Salters.

Locality

Blanchetown is located on the Murray River, 135 km Northeast of Adelaide on Highway 20.
It is home of Lock 1 and is popular for its river sports.
Blanchetown is the gateway to the Riverland region of South Australia and within easy access of the Barossa Valley and Murraylands regions.

Cellar Door

Burk Salter Wines is a boutique style winery owned and managed by Greg and Jane Salter.
The Salter¡¦s have been growing grapes in the Blanchetown area for three generations.
There is a Cellar Door for tasting and wine sales adjoining the B&B.
The wine is made exclusively from grapes grown in the Salter vineyards and processed into wine by their wine-maker in the Barossa Valley

Burk Salter Wines now offer tours of their wetlands as the area is noted for its history and its wildlife.
The River Murray is the world¡¦s fourth largest river system in the world.
The building of the Locks and Weirs along the river created large wetland areas.
The tour is conducted aboard a restored 1927 Chevrolet Truck.
