Bed & Breakfast, Self-contained apartment

Redcliffe, Blackheath, is built on the escarpment on upper Shipley Plateau. The Apartment, which has its own entrance, is private and self-contained, and sits within the middle pavilion of our main residence.
Redcliffe is a contemporary residence - a great place to be if you want a perfect hideaway or simply as a place to relax and unwind.
Enjoy the limitless and spectacular views of Kanimbla Valley and the escarpment of Mt Blackheath as you relax on the deck. Surround yourself in the natural beauty of Australia's Blue Mountains.

Redcliffe is within easy walking distance to the outstanding walking tracks of Centennial Glen and Porters Pass. We are about 3 km from Blackheath village cafes, antiques and specialty boutiques and a short drive down into Megalong Valley.

Redcliffe is not suitable for children for safety reasons as we have a waterfall and fountain next to the deck as well as open bush around the property.
Redcliffe is not suitable for pets and because of its proximity to the bush, it is a non-smoking environment

Redcliffe gave us the peace and quiet we needed in a holiday and views to make staying in the Blue Mountains worthwhile. Waking up each morning to an amazing view of Kanimbla Valley to wasting away the evening with a glass of wine on the 'sunset' deck made our stay spectacular. Kalinda,March 2010

'Must do' - nearby

Hargreaves Lookout on Shipley Plateau, with its expansive views into Kanimbla and Megalong Valleys, is about ten minute drive from Redcliffe.

Drive down to Megalong Valley through rainforest sections and into the valley floor. Look up into the surrounding majestic escarpment. At Megalong Tearooms you'll find county-style cooking and the best scones and cream.

Centennial Glen track head is just a ten minute walk away from Redcliffe. Easy to difficult grade tracks to Walls Ledge Track or Porters Pass. Absorb the beauty of this natural wonder.

Redcliffe-a great escape

Because we are in a bushland setting, Redcliffe is not suitable for pets. We have a water feature adjacent to the main deck which renders the property unsuitable for children.
Redcliffe is a non-smoking environment due to the close proximity of bushland.

Redcliffe is nestled into the escarpment on Shipley Plateau with unlimited views into Kanimbla Valley and beyond. With loads of seating and space, the large deck enables guests to feel part of the surrounding uninterrupted beauty.

Birdwatching

Finches, black cockatoos fly by usually a couple of times a day. Native birds sit in the nearby trees. Viewing from the private Sunset Deck gives you a great opportunity to view any birds flying through the valley. The surrounding native bushland encourages all types of birds.

Redcliffe is set on the escarpment on Shipley Plateau in a bushland setting. Centennial Glen track head is about ten minutes walk from our home or perhaps a two minute drive. Centennial Glen track takes you onto Walls Ledge Track and Centennial Glen itself.
Govetts Leap in the National Park is a six minute drive or 3 kms away. From this point, there are many walking tracks - Pulpit Rock, Popes Glen, Cliff Top Track and more. Let's not forget the great sunsets from the deck at Redcliffe.

Rockclimbing & Abseiling

A few minutes walk from Redcliffe takes you to Centennial Glen. Centennial Glen gives you the opportunity to climb at Main Wall, White Linen, Search and Destroy, Wave Wall or Woodpecker Wall. It is one of the most developed sporting crags in the area. As well there are climbing walls where rockclimbers practise. Porters Pass, Fort Rock all lead off the Centennial Glen track in Upper Shipley Plateau. The track head is about 5-10 minutes walk from Redcliffe or a 2-minute drive to Centennial Glen Road.
