Calabash Bay Lodge has reverse cycle air-conditioning on both entertaining and sleeping levels, or you can use the "natural" air-conditioning via extensive louvered windows, and bring inside the wondrous scents of the Australian bush.

A roaring open log fire will comfort you on chilly nights, accompanied by other mandatory luxuries like an integrated hifi system, a high definition flatscreen LCD TV and Foxtel satellite service with inhouse movies and sports.

The lodge is also family-friendly, with all outdoor decks fenced and gated to make sure your kids are safe and sound. Please note, however, children are only permitted upon application as the lodge is not suitable for all age groups.

The lodge is only accessible by boat, however there’s no need to worry as complimentary boat transfers are included in your package.

We will meet you by private boat at the Berowra Waters public jetty and whisk you away upriver to Calabash Bay Lodge. The lodge is only a 10 minute trip upriver, during which you'll pass the recently reopened Berowra Waters Inn, which is open from Thursday to Sunday.

We also supply a 4.5m runabout boat at the lodge’s private pontoon with a full tank of fuel, for exclusive use during your stay. If one of your guests would like to bring their own boat, please let us know. Private mooring is available at the lodge, with room for an additional two boats, plus a third on our own deepwater mooring.

Calabash Bay Lodge is situated in Berowra Waters, at the southeast edge of the Hawkesbury region and only 45 minutes drive from the Sydney CBD via the F3 freeway, or 1 hour from Sydney's international and domestic airports. The lodge is also reached easily from Sydney’s north-west and west via the M2 and M7 tollways, the Central Coast and from the Hunter Valley on a pleasant tourist drive via the old Pacific Highway.

The lodge is also uniquely located for visitors who wish to explore not only the local area, but make daytrips further afield. The attractions of the Sydney CBD are only a 45 minute drive away, the Hunter Valley wine region only 1 hour away,
