Birdsong cottage provides access to two decks and a large, level lawn suitable for games such as badminton, soccer or cricket. There are plenty of places to get away from the kids or to spend a little time just soaking up the sights and sounds of the bush.

Unlike many bush properties, Birdsong Cottage is located within the town of Bermagui, with sealed roads right up to the property. The town is a lovely thirty minute walk away, or two minutes by car.

The cottage faces northwest in an acre of garden with views over spotted gum and stringy bark forest. There are a number of small ponds on the property that support fish and frogs.

Many King Parrots and Lorikeets come to feed, and in the evenings, wallabies can be viewed feeding just below the house. Goannas, Echidnas, Possums and Lyrebirds are also regular visitors to the property.

Permaculture principles sustain a flock of chickens that free range over the property in the late afternoon. Fresh eggs are one of the perks of staying at Birdsong.

Simply but comfortably furnished, the lounge room features a large picture window over looking the bush.

A new well equipped galley style kitchen provides a standard, four burner domestic gas stove, and barbeque out on the deck.

The cottage has a large bathroom/toilet area with shower over the bath. Iron and ironing board are provided.

The property is heated by a gas fire in the lounge.

There is plenty of car and boat parking space on the property and boats can be launched from the ramp beside Bermagui Bridge, 1 kilometre away.

Birdsong is an excellent base from which to explore the beautiful country around Bermagui. There are many wonderful scenic drives. World class beaches are a short drive away.

Birdsong Cottage is located on the outskirts of the beautiful coastal town of Bermagui. Just 2km from the centre of town, the property is surrounded by spotted gum forest with views over the bush. Visitors can walk into town along Nutleys Creek Rd in about half and hour or drive along sealed roads in about 2 minutes. Those with boats can launch from the boatramp on Bermagui river at the bottom of the hill.

The property comprises two fully self contained cottages on a hectare of bushland. Each cottage has two bedrooms that will sleep up to five people. Well behaved and controlled pets are welcome.

Birdsong comprises two fully self contained cottages that will sleep up to 10 people during the peak summer season. Both cottages have two bedrooms. Cottage 1, available all year has a queen bed in the master bedroom and a double with single bunk above in the second bedroom. Cottage 2, which is only available as a combined let with cottage 1 during summer, has a double bed in the master bedroom and a double with single bunk above in the second bedrooom.
