Bed & Breakfast

Bellbird Cottage is under new ownership and has been renovated to suit the more discerning traveller.

Nestled among spotted gums on over an acre of woodland, we are in the beautiful coastal fishing village of Bermagui.

Choose from 2 ensuite rooms, each with their own individual style and comforts. Each room has its own private sitting area, breakfast area, private entrance and bar fridge with all your essentials. TV/DVD facilities are also included in each room. Our resident bellbirds will happily provide the perfect serenade from dawn to dusk to complete the scene.

A wide range of activities such as golf, bushwalking, boating are all available only minutes away. Or for a less energetic stay simply relax, soak up the surrounds and enjoy a glass of port with our compliments.

The Art and Garden Room is furnished with a modern, luxurious Tassie oak king size bed and your own sitting and meals area. Some of our favourite artworks finish off the look and feel to this beautiful room. The Art and Garden Room provides the perfect vista to take advantage of the views of our wooded garden.

Unwind in this peaceful room or slip out of your french doors into your private garden.

Our Queen sized Library Room, part of the original cottage, provides you with two separate areas. The luscious timber bedroom combines old world decor with modern pleasures. The separate sitting area provides access to our personal library which has a range of books which you may view during your stay. This room gives a taste of yesteryear with an abundance of timbers and old-world style.

Enjoy the leather tub chairs in front of the fireplace, with a book or a pack of cards, or sit outside on your verandah and soak up the surrounds.

Activities & Indulgences

Bermagui is well known for its fishing and a stroll along the harbour should not be missed. Watch the fishing boats return, along with the resident seal who is sometimes seen frolicking around the spoils from the latest catch.

Bermagui is surrounded by National Parks and State Forests, extensive lakes, mountain peaks, rainforests and pristine sandy beaches.

Bermagui offers visitors a raft of activities or just enjoying its simple beauty. Taste the famous Wapengo oysters at our local restaurants or drop into a cafe for a caffeine hit.

Bermagui markets are on the last Sunday of every month if you are looking for a local jam or plant to take home.

A short drive will take you to numerous art galleries or the beautiful quaint heritage listed Tilba Tilba and Central Tilba.

Bellbird Cottage is located on Nutley's Creek Road, Bermagui. This tri level full timber home combines new with old and is designed to take advantage of its wooded site. The original cottage dates back to the 1950s, the main part of the home being added more recently.
Bellbird Cottage has been recently renovated with style and quality fixtures, and we look forward to sharing it with you.
