Guest Reviews

"Everything about this house was superb. There was nothing which had been forgotten. The award it had won was well deserved."

"We have travelled extensively, staying in many forms of accommodation and this is now one of our top spots. Everything is catered for and the house is in great condition with every comfort - I only wish we could have stayed longer! I would like to know about the history of the house"

"Our entire stay was "absolutely fabulous" from being met by our wonderful host Allan on arrival, to the time we left 3 days later. There was homemade banana cake, provisions in the fridge and cupboards, and the bedrooms were very well appointed and presented, including electric blankets which we really needed one cold night of our stay. The cottage was well beyond our wildest expectations, and we will definately be back. Thank you Allan you are the greatest host ever !"

"Wonderful as always, the cottage is beautifully appointed, well equipped, with all you will need should you decide to use the kitchen facilities, along with the extra special touch of the freshly baked biscuits and cake, all part of a very warm welcome.

"We had a great time in this place. The owner made sure to leave provisions that were well over our previous expectations and the cottage itself was beautifully furnished and organised to the point were we felt just at home the minute we stepped in."

"Our complete satisfaction with hyacinthhouse. We have a just completed a 5 day break there and it was just fantastic. The abundant supplies provided for breakfast would have to suit even the hardest to please guest, and the little extras like fruit, banana muffins, chocs etc were so thoughtful. We found the cottage spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated. There was always something else to look at. A huge supply of magazines, books, music, dvd's all helped to make our stay so pleasurable. The cottage is within walking distance of the CBD, and yet it was so quiet. Host Allan greeted us and explained everything to us, so there were no hiccups working out appliances (which were all first class). You must be very proud of being able to list such properties. We will definitely return and would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage to anyone."

"Our stay at Hyacinth House was perfect. Every needs was thought of and catered for. The home made muffins on arrival was the 'icing on the cake' so to speak. We were made to feel totally at home. The pantry was stocked well beyond our needs and the experience really made an impression."

"This was probably the best B&B I have stayed in. The house was extremely well set-up, attractively presented and our every need was anticipated. It is close to shops and City Centre and an excellent hotel/restaurant around the corner. The host was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hyacinth House. It was very comfortable and clean. We were met and given the keys and shown around. Provisions for breakfast were supplied and were very good. Hyacinth House is in a quiet street, very central to the station and an easy walk to the CBD."

"A beautiful house that was one of the most well and thoughtfully equipped cottages I have stayed in. The bedding was particulary good with excellent linen and high quality mattresses. Altogether the cottage achieved what few period holiday rentals ever successfully do - blend modern, luxurious appointments with a quaint, comfy and spacious cottage that is so reasonable in price."
Guest rating: 5/5  - Christine, VIC - September 06

"THE PROPERTY WAS IMMACULATE. WE WERE GREETED BY ALLAN AND ALSO YUMMY APPLE CAKES. WE HAD A GROUP OF SEVEN GIRLS ON A GIRLS WEEKEND, AND EVERYONE OF US LOVED HYACINTH HOUSE. WE ARE ALREADY TALKING ABOUT BOOKING THE PROPERTY FOR OUR NEXT GIRLS WEEKEND, WHICH IS SOMETHING WE HAVE NEVER DONE BEFORE. BREAKFAST WAS PROVIDED IN THE PRICE, WE HAD A GREAT SELECTION, ALSO ELECTRIC BLANKETS ON BEDS FOR THOSE COLD BENDIGO NIGHTS. THE COURTYARD OUT THE BACK WAS DELIGHTFUL. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED."
