"We enjoyed our overnight stay both on the way to Victoria and back to Canberra. The house has a quaint, olden days athmosphere, with lovely gardens,cosy bedrooms and well appointed living areas. Even though it is walking distance from the lake and town it has quiet and peaceful surroundings. The owners were welcoming with chocolate,sherry and flowers and overall very helpful and accomodating." Dec 2010

The 3 bedroom 1.5 bathroom traditional cottage is set in a restful, mature garden in a quiet yet exceptionally well located tree lined street just a few minutes walk from shops, restaurants, pubs, lake-side walk, award winning Benalla Art Gallery, tennis, rowing, bike-riding, and BMX/skate park and much, much more.

Rushton Cottage's three bedrooms (main with queen-bed and en-suite; two double-bed rooms) feature crisp white air-dried linen, and fluffy luxurious towels.

The Cottage has a modern family style kitchen with bench-top stove, wall oven, microwave, a dish-washer to save you time, clothes dryer and new washing mahine.

Enjoy a BBQ in your own private botanical setting; perhaps a slow breakfast and newspaper on the deck of the vine covered breakfast nook, or dinner in the shade of the Jacaranda in the secluded rear garden.

Children can fossick for hours in the "magic" garden with toys and garden tools for exploring the "diggable" secure rear garden.

Rushton Cottage has air-conditioning, gas heating & electric blankets to make any season comfortable.

Off-street parking for 3 cars, large screen TV, sound system and a designated pet space are provided.
