The property prides itself on being ECO friendly having installed a 5 kw grid connected solar system thus providing currently (per annum) the full electricity usage via green power, also a solar hot water storage tank with gas boost provides hot water to the properties of up to 20 showers a day. As well as this, a number of water tanks have been installed supplying toilets and garden watering.

Snow Skiing

The property is located 1 hr from Mt Buffalo and 1.5 hrs from Mt Hotham and Falls Creek. Beechworth is a perfect place to conduct a day trip to the snow from.

Beechworth is a gorious place in winter, it has been known to snow in town but not the norm. Pickett Cottage is warm and inviting and a lovely place to stay being only metres from town where a great hot chocolate or cappuchinio can warm those insides.
