Farmstay type vacation accommodation with two fully self-contained miner's style cabins situated close to historic towns on Beechworth and Chiltern and close to wineries and snowfields.

Children have lots of room to run and play. Feed the guinea pigs, chickens, goats, lamas, elks and cows. Plus pony rides and hay rides on 4WD motorbike. Take a relaxing horse ride through the native Australian bush with your experienced guide, or hire a quadbike (adults only)

We also have a large all-weather undercover BBQ area with open fireplace ideal for marshmellow toasting for the children and family get togethers.

We are also pet friendly.

It will be hard to beat this holiday. The children have absoulutely loved their night away at a farm. The most important ingredient that made out stay so great is the hospitality and friendliness that both of you offer. It is jut like visting friends. Well done... Jo & David McAlister

Locality

Mt Pilot Tourist Farm is situated mid way between Melbourne and Sydney... being only 10km off the Hume Highway at the Chiltern exit... only 15 minutes away from Beechworth (Ned Kelly country) and close to wineries and snowfields.

Property

The property is 60 acres with lots of accessible natural bush. Cabins are set in lovely garden surroundings close to aboriginal cave art and Mt Pilot National Park making it an ideal location for bushwalkers and birdwatching. Holiday with you own motobike or horse take a trail ride with our horses... Plenty of places to ride horse or ride your motorbike.

As we are very close to Mt Pilot National Park there is plenty of bushwalking available. We have lots of different species of birds and wildlife eg koalas, kangaroos etc.

We have lots of animals for the childrenn to see and we feed hay out in the afternoons to the horses, ponies, elks and goats, the children come along as well . We have fourwheel m/bike and trailer with hay aboard, always a hit with the kids.

Horse riding

Horse riding available on-site, Guests are welcome to bring their own horses.

We offer horse riding which is fully conducted with an experiencede guide. Tuition is also given for those who do not know how to ride. We cater for the whole family with pony rides for the younger children. We also do Pony Parties for children up to 9 years old.

Indigenous Experiences

Indigenous experiences available nearby.

Mt Pilot has aboriginal cave art which they call Yeddonda. There is also a cultural walk which has information plaques along the way with great views towards Chiltern

Cats are permitted, Small dogs (less than 11 kg) are permitted, Medium dogs (11 kg to less than 34 kg) are permitted, Large dogs (34 kg or heavier) are permitted, Pets are permitted inside, Secure, fully fenced running area, Food and water bowls provided, Other domesticated animals reside at the property.

We have a secure yard for the dogs. Dogs that are house trained are allowed inside. Plenty of space to take your dog for a walk or run.

Wine Appreciation

Winery tours available nearby.

We are only approx half an hour away from all the wineries. The winery walkabout which is held on the Queens Birthday long weekend each year.
