With AAA 4 star rating and Advanced Eco-certification, award-winning Red Mill House in the Village of Daintree offers friendly service and excellent facilities for discerning visitors. The four ensuite king and queen bed rooms are spacious and comfortable and each has a wide verandah overlooking the extensive tropical gardens. A two bedroom unit, sleeping four, is also available for families. Rooms are airconditioned and there is a large salt water swimming pool.

The famous Red Mill House full cooked breakfast is included in the tariff. The scrumptious breakfast includes a fresh local tropical fruit platter, three home baked breads daily, home made yoghurt and jams plus cereal, juice and a range of cooked choices.

An extensive wildlife, nature and travel library is available to guests in the communal lounge and binoculars and field guides can be borrowed for birdwatching walks and tours. Local information with maps, bird checklists and up-to-date places of interest are offered and guiding is available. Laundry and internet facilities including WiFi are available and downloading and burning facilities for photographers.

Red Mill House is ideally located for excursions to the Great Barrier Reef, the World Heritage listed Daintree National Park, Mossman Gorge, Port Douglas and Cape Tribulation.

Available local activities include cycling, rain forest walks, birdwatching and wildlife river cruises, fishing and horse riding. Several restaurants are close by for evening meals.

Daintree Village is 1.5 hours drive north of Cairns via the scenic Captain Cook Highway. Red Mill House can be seen on your left as you enter town.
