Location: Wimbie Beach is about 8km south of Batemans Bay on the South Coast of New South Wales. Its about 4 hrs drive from Sydney and 1 ½ hrs from Canberra or Goulburn. The beach is sheltered by rocky headlands and is normally quite calm and is very suitable for children. For surfers there is Surf Beach which is a five minute stroll around the point or keep walking to Denhams Beach where dolphins can often been seen in the early moring. Local Attractions: A path runs south from Wimbie Beach along the coast to a rocky headland known as the "Ladders". This area is national park and is quite unspoilt. This area is great for fishing and snorkelling.
Just a note to let you know that Toby (the dog), my friends, and I had a wonderful time at your beach home. What a great house! The location is fabulous and Toby was very comfortable in the yard. I plan to startmy summer planning very soon so that I can get in early on the bookings as I hope to stay there again. 5/9/06
