Tides Coasthouse is a short 5min stroll to glorious Long Beach, has views out over the Tollgate Islands from the rear. It's charming, comfortable & well set up 4bdrm Split-level house with large fenced yard, designed for families to enjoy a coastal retreat

Tides is in a quiet street of splendid spotted gums & bird-life. The beach is private & protected, & safe for young kids. Good surfing is just 15min drive

Within this tree lined area are wonderful beach, bush & cliff-walks

Tides is located at Long Beach, a small unspoilt area, 5 km north of Bateman's Bay & 3 minutes in from the Princess Highway

Tides accommodates up to 9 guests (i.e. 8 adults)

The four bedrooms have BIRs (one master bdrm) & 2 bathrooms (1 bath). The house features high ceilings with a large living & dining area inside. Outside: 2 downstairs decks (one with spa) & 2 huge decks upstairs with gas BBQ & views out over the ocean & islands

The heated spa is ideal to relax in (non-chlorine), seats up to 6

Tides is a home-away-from-home with features for all ages incl lots of DVDs, board games etc to make this holiday memorable, with 2 TV's, 2 DVD players, 1 VCR, 1 stereo. Tides has ample fans/heaters for the hot & cooler days of the temperate coastal climate. The kitchen is fully-equipped & has a phone

Whether you want to swim, boogie board, paddle in the water, fish, explore rock pools, build sandcastles, golf, bushwalk, fly kites, play cricket, or just laze around, Tides has it all

We provide boogie boards, old bikes, buckets & spades, darts & badminton, puzzles, games, magazines, books, outdoor sun lounges, & even wet suits for winter

Please bring your own linen . & we can supply a highchair, portable cot & stair guard for our tiniest visitors.

If you've a boat, this can easily be parked out front. Limited launching facilities are provided at one end of Long Beach, however numerous boat ramps around Bateman's Bay.

Locality

Tides Coasthouse is located 5min drive from a full range of shops in Bateman’s Bay. There is a convenience store & take-away 2mins away, and 24hr petrol in the township.

The area features several reserves & Murramurang National Park with wonderful walks and sight seeing, and you can easily access the fantastic Pidgeonhouse Mtn and its spectacular 360” views from here.

Long Beach is a 4km stretch of white-sand and usually gentle waves, and is ideal for beachcombing, snorkelling swimming or sailing/boating or kayaking.

The headlands are great for sightseeing and unusual rock formations, or for simply finding small deserted nooks for relaxing. Several good body-surfing/board riding beaches in the area …or just go explore the magnificent bays and islands in the Eurobodalla Shire.

The area features an enormous variety of attractions incl Mogo historical village & curiosity shops, & a hands-on experience at Mogo Zoo. There are Dirt-Karts and even rock-climbing-wall in the area. There are several markets/fairs and art exhibits each week …never a dull moment (Details of how to find these at the house).

Bateman’s Bay itself boasts some fine fish restaurants and full spectrum of shopping (incl supermarkets, clothes-stores, RSL and a variety of take-away/fast-food options) as well as internet kiosks, library, museum, sports-stores and fishing supplies. Try the oysters!

The Bay has a twin cinemas featuring recent films and the 18-hole golf course. You can also do a variety of cruises (up the Clyde River) or go deep sea fishing or diving! There are fantastic foreshore walks & bicycle paths …even in town with waterside restaurants of all kinds, and gyms to visit.

Mountain Biking nearby

Mogo mountain bike tracks are a 20 minute drive away and the Bermagui mountain bike park is a 1.5hr drive. Both places host races so it would be good to tap into that (Mogo in 4-5 September 2010 and throughout year in Bermagui). Bermagui track see http://www.bermagui.net/Bermagui_track_map.pdf

Boogie boards, wet-suits, kites, buckets & spades and old bikes available. Long Beach is generally a beautiful & clean, quiet semi-ocean beach for swimming / snorkelling - however excellent surf beach is loacted 10-15min drive north to Cookies Beach or south to Surf Beach and many beaches beyond.

There are an enormous variety of birdlife in the area, and that visit the property including parrots, king parrots and many others.

Also close to Benandarah State Forest and lookouts + easy drive to Pidgeonhouse Mtn and a stunning walk to panoramic 360' views, + many other natural spots of beauty incl deserted beaches and unusal rock formations.

There are dog friendly & off-leash beaches nearby. Several cafes in the area allow dogs to sit quietly in outdoor eating areas.
At TIDES house - The back yard is large, grassed and fully fenced with shady and covered areas. Pets must be immunized & be on recognized flea treatment. Well-behaved house trained pets are welcome inside the home DOWNSTAIRS only, but obviously not on the furniture or beds - please bring your pets own bedding, Dog bond maybe req’d – please arrange in advance.

However a nightly fee of $10.00 is charged - alternatively Pooper-scoopers & bags supplied. This is to cover extra cleaning costs that are incurred when pets stay on the property (inside or out).

All Bookings w pets require a $300.00 bond, which is returned to you one week after your stay, pending a satisfactory inspection (the home must be left in the same condition as when you arrived) as well as return of keys. It is on a quiet dog friendly street and you are welcome!
