The property has dual access and can be accessed from the front of the property by wheelchair. The property is suitable for people with limited mobility. There are large double doors into the apartment with a small step up suitable for a wheelchair. The bathroom cannot be accessed by wheelchair. There a small number of low steps (4) to access the outdoor spa.

Less than 5 minutes drive to the beach.

There is a 10 minute walk to Bateau Bay Beach, a gorgeous sheltered beach in the Wyrrabalong National Park. There is a short drive to Shelly Beach, a patrolled beach which is dog-friendly.

The Retreat is a short walk away from the coastline and the Wyrrabalong National Park, ideal for birdwatching, wildflowers, bushwalking and dolphin watching in the season.

The Wyrrabalong National Park is a five minute walk away and has a wonderful track along the coast to Crackneck Lookout (5 minutes), Forresters Beach (1 hour walk), Bateau Bay Beach (10 minute walk) or Shelly Beach (20 minute walk). The wildflowers in the spring, especially the flannel flowers are just gorgeous and there is whale watching from Crackneck Lookout in the whale season,

Cats are permitted, Small dogs (less than 11 kg) are permitted, Medium dogs (11 kg to less than 34 kg) are permitted, Large dogs (34 kg or heavier) are permitted, Pets are permitted inside, Secure, fully fenced running area.

The Retreat is very pet-friendly with your pet being allowed inside but not on the bed or sofa or in the spa. Bowls are provided and there is an undercover area if you wish to leave your pet at the Retreat if you venture away. There is a fully enclosed fence around the property.
There is also a wonderful off-the-leash dog beach, Shelley Beach a short drive away. Dogs love the garden area.

Romantic getaway

There is exclusive use of the garden and spa area which is very private. The apartment is very cosy and plenty (about 20) of towels are provided for your use during your stay.A bottle of bubbly and a gourmet basket with biscuits, coffee for the coffee machine, Twinings teas and chocolate are provided as are tea light candles, candles in the garden, an aromatherapy candle, incense and aromatherapy oil for aromatherapy burner.
