Cottage


Alder Tree Cottage is a charming two bedroom cedar, fully self-contained residence in the “sea-change” village of Barwon Heads less than 90 minutes from Melbourne. It is about 2 minutes by car from the central shops and beaches and about 15 minutes walk.

A feature of the cottage is its garden setting. Whilst it is on a small block of land, it is heavily treed and bird-life abounds. We welcome pets. It has an enclosed garden, both back and front, with secure fencing and the pets are also welcome in the inside living area.

The cottage itself has an open plan living area. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom two single beds. All linen and towels are supplied. Facilities include: TV, DVD, CD/Radio, Microwave, Filter Coffee and Hairdryer. It also has a washing machine, iron and ironing board. Comforts include air-conditioning, heating and electric blankets.

The village of Barwon Heads is popular at all times of the year providing a cafe culture, interesting shops and the attractions of the beach. The river provides a safe, attractive beach for children and for a range of water activities. 13th beach is popular for surfing, walking and sea-fishing. Tennis courts are close by.

Boutique wineries and olive groves are located nearby on the Bellarine Peninsula and the Great Ocean Road is easily accessible for day trips.

Pets are permitted in the living area which is immediately adjacent to the fully secure yard where pets have access to the garden. Bedding is not provided but a raised dog-bed is supplied. The neighbour does have dogs thus sociable pets will feel more at home.
