The award winning Sunrise Motel in Barooga offers country hospitality in large, quiet motel rooms and and self-contained apartments. Our ground floor accommodation has modern facilities with Sealy Posture Premier queen beds and quality amenities. Our guests enjoy playing table tennis and swimming in our shaded solar heated pool. There is also a barbeque area with an outdoor kitchen with a refrigerator / freezer. A guest laundry and off-street parking is available.

Locality

Barooga, New South Wales is located on the north side of the Murray river, across from its sister city of Cobram, Victoria, about 3.5 hours drive to the north of Melbourne.

This area is known for fishing, swimming, water skiing and boating on the mighty Murray River. If the elusive Murray cod is too hard to catch you can always visit the Giant Cod in nearby Tocumwal.

There are plenty of sandy beaches for picnics along the Murray River, with majestic river red gums along the banks, home to many water birds and wildlife. River cruises, canoeing, kyaking and bushwalking around Quinn Island are popular pastimes.

There are local wineries to visit in the area, such as Monichino and Strathkellar Wines.
