TURTLE WATCHING SEASON NOV - MARCH
Mon Repos Beach is home to Australia's largest loggerhead turtle rookery and is just a short drive from the resort. Ranger guided night tours operate on the beach, giving you the unique opportunity to watch sea turtles nesting or hatchlings making there way to the big blue. This natural experience is one young and old will remember for a life time

Things to do

Bundaberg North Burnett Region includes the coastal communities stretching from Woodgate to the Baffle Creek including Bundaberg's coastal suburbs such as Bargara. These communities offer great family beach holidays with quiet beaches sheltered by Fraser Island.

The Great Barrier Reef starts at Bundaberg offering 2 Island Experiences; Lady Elliot Island & Lady Musgrave Island.

Mon Repos Conservation Park is a major tourist attraction for marine turtles between November and March. Visitors can watch the endangered Loggerhead Turtles lay their eggs and hatchlings emerge from their eggs. Bundaberg itself has tourist attractions ranging from the iconic Bundaberg Rum Bondstore, the Barrel featuring the city's famous Ginger Beer and the Hinkler Hall of Aviation profiling the flying exploits of pioneer aviator Bert Hinkler.

The region is one of Australia's major food producers and visitors enjoy sampling local produce including seafood. The hinterland begins with the rolling hills of Childers and its wineries to the valley of the Burnett River which has the most dams in the nation. At the top of the region are the sandstone cliffs of Cania Gorge and its adjacent lake. Tourist attractions such as Snakes Down Under in Childers, The Big Orange in Gatton and the RM Williams Learning Centre in Monto are just a few experiences offered in our vast region.
