For the ultimate country bush experience, you cannot surpass the majestic mountains and bushland that surround Banksia Cottage in the Grampians.

Banksia Cottage is a fantastic country retreat for couples, honeymooners and families for weekends or extended stays, while visiting the Grampians. Nestled in a tranquil setting at the base of Boronia Peak, Banksia Cottage is opposite the national park where guests will find an abundance of native wildflowers and animals at their doorstep. Wake up with kangaroos in the backyard, deer foraging in the bush garden, emus feeding in the bushland opposite or enjoy the kookaburras and other native birds that like to frequent the back verandah.

The cottage luxuriously accommodates up to five people, offering all the modern creature comforts of home. Fully equipped with games, magazines and an array of DVDs, videos, CDs, split system heating and cooling and a cosy wood heater, guests are catered for in all seasons. Eat in or dine out at the quality restaurants in Halls Gap.

With a private balcony at the rear, sit back and enjoy cooking a barbecue, having breakfast in the morning sun or enjoying a glass of quality local wine. Guests can enjoy the fresh air while taking in one of the many leisurely walks that are nearby. Most tracks begin within 50 metres of the cottage. A short stroll away is 'Brambuk, the National Park and Cultural Centre' as is the Halls Gap boardwalk shopping centre.

We pride ourselves on offering spotless and comfortable amenities and always endeavour to make our guests feel at home the minute they walk in the front door. All that they need to bring is their own food requirements and clothing.

With Halls Gap hosting the Grampians Jazz Festival, Gourmet Weekend, Grampians Wildflower Festival, Grampians Texture, Halls Gap Film Festival and other special weekends, Banksia Cottage is well placed for guests who want to take part in all the region has to offer... there is much to see and do.

On returning to England,I just had to drop you a line to say what a most enjoyable time we had in Banksia during our recent trip to Australia.The location and facilities were first class and although our stay was short we would have loved to have stayed for longer had time permitted.
