Cottage

Imagine sitting in front of a blazing fire, cosy and warm while outside the frost settles on the ground. The tranquil bush setting, the private luxury cottage and the only sound you hear are the birds.

Overhead the stars blanket the night sky and twinkle with not a city light to be seen. And you are surrounded by wineries and National Parks - ideal to do as little or as much as you want.

The perfect way to unwind in Wine Country is at Cypress Ridge Cottages. We have Studio Cottages which are ideal for couples and our One Bedroom Cottage caters for couples and families alike.

Surrounded by Granite Belt bushland, just a breath away from wineries, restaurants and national parks.

Giraween National Park is an iconic Queensland national park and the region's most popular national park. It offers something for everyone; bushwalking, picnicking and bird watching and is only 15 minutes away.

Storm King Dam is located 10 minutes away - the perfect place for swimming, fishing or canoeing as well as water skiing or just dip your feet in with a good book.

Ballandean Tavern is 5 minutes down the road - great for a country pub meal or take-away after a busy sight-seeing day.

Wineries galore - 3 within 1km of Cypress Ridge; Just Red, Symphony Hill and Hidden Creek while Stanthorpe is home to 25% of Queensland Wineries.

Fresh produce - The Granite Belt is spoilt for choice with fruit & vegetables. Fresh is the rule when purchasing and farmer markets and farm gate sales make this easy. Don't forget the Dairy farmhouse & Bramblepatch for the essential cheese & dip to go with the numerous wineries.

Property Location

Head south from Stanthorpe for approx 20km to Ballandean. Turn left into Eukey Road(also called Highland drive) and continue for 3km. Cypress Ridge is on the right.

Head north from Wallangarra for 20km and turn right into Eukey Road.

We have 2 two seater canoes available for hire. We provide life-jackets and oars. You can also hire fishing tackle or we can organise a picnic lunch. A hlaf day hire is $40 per canoe and we transport the canoes to Storm King Dam.

Eco-friendly

Bio-cycle or equivalent waste system., Solar powered accommodation, Bio-diverse setting, Ecological activities nearby, Ecological information and activities on site.

Cypress Ridge aims to have minimal impact on our natural environment. As such each cottage has its own supply of rain water. The property runs a ‘bio-cycle’ wastewater system which can only process organic waste. We have also installed individual solar cells to each cottage so we are producing our own clean energy.

Family Friendly

Portacot available, Games/videos for children under 5 available, Games/videos for children between 5 and 12 available, Babysitting services can be arranged, Kids meal options available.

We have our Settler Cottages which are suitable for families.

Farmland Experiences

Farm animals live on the property, Dogs, Other farm animals, Working farm with some limits on guest access to animals.

We have goats on the property. We also are an operating Parsley farm with farm tours in season.

Fishing

Fishing spots available nearby, Fishing gear available for use, Local fishing knowledge available, Located less than 5 minute drive to water, Boatramp within 5 minute drive, Boat hire available onsite.

We provide a fishing tackle boc including lures and bait as well as fishing licence for $30 per day hire. We also have canoes available for hire. The most popular fishing site nearby is Storm King Dam.

Cats are permitted, Small dogs (less than 11 kg) are permitted, Medium dogs (11 kg to less than 34 kg) are permitted, Large dogs (34 kg or heavier) are permitted, Pets are permitted inside, Other domesticated animals reside at the property.

Animals are permitted on the property with a $100 bond to cover damage. We request when outside, animals are on a leash. If inside, we request they are not allowed on the bed or rugs.
