Settler's Cottage is the ultimate in peace & seclusion, (disturbed only by the sheep & chickens) this property provides the ideal short or long stay accommodation. Elevated decks overlooking the property, cosy wood fires, the heritage style (foot & claw) bath room and traditional wood flooring throughout, all add to the experience.

Be captivated with the beautiful location of this valley retreat, with the charm of yester-year.

Prepared to the same standards and managed by the owners of the award winning cottages at Balingup Heights Hilltop Forest Cottages', included is freshly laundered linen and guest towels, complimentary teas, coffee, local produce when in season and the opportunity to collect your own free range eggs and fresh fruit from the orchards. Electric blankets, TV/video/DVD, CD player, microwave, fridge and a quaint wood fired stove add to the experience that is Settler's.

Settler's can sleep up to 8 people in the following configuration:

- 1 x Queen Size Bedroom
- 1 x Queen Size Bedroom, plus single bed
- 1 x single bedroom
- 1 x fold out sofa bed

Balingup

The historic village of Balingup is situated at the northern entrance to the picturesque Blackwood River Valley in the south west of Western Australia. A premier tourist town, Balingup is well known for its art and crafts, galleries, wineries, festivals and events; and is surrounded by wonderful scenery - forests, winding rivers, rolling hills, vineyards and lush orchards.

A leisurely 2 1/2 hour drive from Perth, Balingup offers some of the finest accommodation in Western Australia, and has become known as an alternative destination from which to explore Australia’s South West.

The world renowned Bibbulmun Track passes through the town along the gentle Balingup Brook, and meanders to the south through the beautiful Balingup Golden Valley Tree Park.

To spend time in Balingup is to enjoy the experience of the ever-changing seasons. The winter valley mists, spring blossoms, glowing sunsets and the russet red tinting of the autumn leaves are all part of the magical Balingup experience.

With a small but vibrant community, Balingup is acknowledged as a leader in staging festivals and events. The major events are the Balingup Small Farm Field Day (April), the Balingup Medieval Carnivale (August) and the Jalbrook Concert (November), but you will find there is always something happening and plenty of things to do.

There are a number of cafes providing morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, and a restaurant and tavern provide evening meals.
