Situated near the beautiful city of Lucca in Tuscany, Casa Ciesa al numero 3 is the largest of three apartments. It is located at civic number 3, has three levels plus a basement, is about 140 square metres in total and can accommodate up to 6 people.

On the ground floor, there is a living room with a fireplace and a bright kitchen with balcony and views over the wonderful surrounding nature.

On the 1st floor there are two double bedrooms. A garret on the top floor, with double bedroom and bath with shower.

In the basement there is a bath with shower and a pretty cellar with sat-tv and couch.

Outside, there is a large garden which is completely fenced (1000 square metres), an exclusive backyard equipped with garden furniture and a wood-burning oven below a loggia.

All our holiday rentals in the Lucca area are located in a nice secluded place at the edges of an old village of nowadays scarcely 100 inhabitants near Bagni di Lucca. A narrow road drivable with small cars crosses it.

All cars are preferably to be parked on the village main square, a 150 metres away from our house by paved road, to be covered on foot.

Bagni di Lucca, about 5 kms from our holiday houses, is a nice tourist resort, where you will find general stores, shops, and sport centres (public swimming pool, tennis courts), chemist, supermarkets, etc. You will also find a beautiful spa known during the 18th and 19th centuries as a beloved holiday or residence destination for personalities and artists such as Byron, Shelley, Puccini, Metternich and Radestsky.

Traces of this glorious past are to be found in its monuments: the English Church, the Catene bridge, the Spa, the villas, the Casino, etc. The Casino was the first gambling house to be opened in Europe. It was closed in the 19th century, but during the last years it has been perfectly restored and reopened as a wonderful location for parties and wedding receptions.

In Bagni di Lucca you can find some good trattorias, where you can taste our traditional cuisine based on simple ingredients like mushrooms, chestnuts, sausages, etc. Enjoy beautiful walks, bicycle or horse rides on the hills around Bagni di Lucca, full of churches and Roman parishes: S. Pietro in Corsena, Pieve and San Cassiano di Controne, Montefegatesi, Casabasciana and Vicopancellorum.

Nearby, Borgo a Mozzano and the Maddalena bridge, better known as the Devil’s bridge, the Orrido di Botri or the little canyon of the Garfagnana, Barga with its typical historical centre, Coreglia Antelminelli and its Museum of Plaster Figures.

Lucca (25 kms away), Pisa (55kms away) and the nearby Tyrrhenian coast, or Versilia, (40kms away) offer further cultural artistic and eno-gastronomical diversions.
