The newly renovated lodge (building completed January 2008, photos coming soon) is right on the bank of the Arthur River, just upstream of where it flows into the pounding surf of the Southern Ocean.
Each unit is well insulated and heated throughout. Wood stoves and reverse cycle air-conditioning. Completely new and high quality fit out.
The upstream unit has 3 bedrooms and a huge (6.5 x 12 m) living/kitchen/dining area with high, peaked ceilings, separate laundry with second toilet.
The smaller downstream unit has 2 bedrooms and is designed for wheelchair access with a lofty ceiling living/dining/kitchen area.
The extensive sheltered front patio shaded by umbrellas faces North to Arthur River and West to the sea. A wonderful place to BBQ, eat, sit and contemplate.
LocalityArthur River Township is unique for its position right on the rugged coastline of the West coast, astride a wonderful wild and undammed river in the middle of the Arthur-Pieman Conservation area.
Explore the wonderful coast line to the North or South on foot or by car, or head inland into the pristine Tarkine Forest by boat or road.
Visit Dismal Swamp 20 minutes away, or take a tour to Woolnorth from Smithton, 45 minutes away.
Take the Arthur River cruise from just across the river.
