Our lodge is nestled atop Kangaroo Island's spectacular northeastern shores. From the balcony you gaze down to Pink Bay where a break in the coastal headland reveals waves lapping across our sheltered beach. Beyond lie the moody waters of historic Backstairs Passage and Fleurieu Peninsula's imposing southern flanks. It's a grand vista: captivating, ever-changing and always rewarding.

So too are the surprising views you enjoy closer to home. The lodge is set in a wilderness sanctuary bristling with 250 acres of prime bush habitat. Our neighbours - who often pop by for a drink or a feed - include a chirpy throng of woodland birds, possums, grazing kangaroos and even the occasional echidna.

At Sea Dragon you are treated to your own reviving world of sanctuary. The guest suites are spacious and private. Our inviting lounge catches the natural light and is warmed by a log-fire glow on cooler nights. Whatever the season, whether dining indoors or out, you will enjoy cuisine inspired by exquisite local produce and Kangaroo Island's famed seafood - all complemented by premium wines from the region.

4WD Kangaroo Island Tours are included in our holiday packages and are available exclusively for our guests. Each tour is conducted in our luxury 4WD vehicle and is limited to 4 people. Lisa, your Driver and guide, has been conducting tours on the island for a number of years and has an extensive knowledge of Kangaroo Island, its wild life, history, national parks and plant life.

Go swimming at our own secluded beach, try your hand at fishing, or simply sunbake on the edge of the pristine waters of Pink Bay.

Try our spectacular Seafood Platter served with Champagne on the deck or simply relax and enjoy the spectacular views over Backstairs Passage to the mainland. We regularly see whales during in Winter.

Most of our 250 acre estate is a Heritage sanctuary and offers the nature lover a fantastic array of wildlife including kangaroos, echidnas and goannas. The bird life which can be viewed from the deck is simply amazing.

Our Guest Lounge features: magnificent vaulted ceilings, a cosy wood fire and comfy leather lounges, a stereo system, a range of board games, and stunning coastal views.

Our self serve automatic espresso coffee machine offers a great coffee any time you feel like one. Drinks are available for purchase from the well-stocked bar fridge.

This open plan guest lounge is the ideal place to unwind at the end of the day after enjoying the spectacular sights Kangaroo Island has to offer.

Our Front Deck:
Relax on the deck with a glass of Champagne and soak in the mesmerising coastal views.

The deck is perfect for alfresco dining and watching passing ships, Southern Right Whales and the soaring sea eagles. In front of each bedroom there are 2 deck chairs and a small table for relaxing or perhaps a romantic candlelit dinner.

A large table with 6 chairs is situated in the centre of the deck and available for guests. Breakfast is often served out on the deck during summer.
