Holiday house

Captain's Rest, built in 2006, is a spacious, contemporary, glass-fronted, 4 bedroom home with large sweeping decks situated on 42ha of private land with natural scrub and open areas.

Just 15 minutes from the quaint seaside township of Penneshaw (and the ferry terminal), which provides you with all facilities and a choice of restaurants.

Also only a 15 minute stroll along the Chapman River to the glorious beach of Antechamber Bay or a 4 minute drive if you need to pack all the kids and the picnic essentials. (Chances are you'll be the only ones there to savour the 3km of pristine white sand and safe swimming water).

Fully self-contained with quality furniture and fittings, Captain's Rest sleeps 2 families in comfort.

Creature comforts include:
2 king-size beds, 2 king singles, 2 bunks, electric blankets, (cot available by request)
2 bathrooms including large cast iron bath
Laundry with washing machine and dryer
Well equipped full-size kitchen with family size fridge, chest freezer (for your catch of whiting), dishwasher and microwave
Large open plan lounge & dining including TV, video, DVD, stereo, XBOX, library of books, games and videos
R/C air conditioner & slow combustion heater
Large deck with outdoor furniture and BBQ
Quality furniture, fittings and appliances have been used throughout.
Linen, towels, soap and toilet paper are provided.

Just bring your own food, drinks, clothes and toiletries.

A stroll along the 3 km of our pristine beach will reveal the splendours of Antechamber Bay with spectacular views across Backstairs Passage to the mainland and the Pages Islands.

The area is full of tracks leading along the Chapman River, through bushland, sandhills and Lashmar Lagoon.

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required within seven days of making a reservation.

The balance of accommodation charges must be paid at least one month prior to arrival.

Cancellations made within one month of booking date, result in loss of deposit and 50% of total accommodation cost.

Captain's Rest sleeps up to 10 people (8 adults max) and is ideally suited to 2 families.
Bedrooms include 2 king-size beds, 2 king singles and 2 double bunks.
