Kooran Rise is a new contemporary style house in a peaceful and private setting overlooking the sea and local countryside, with majestic sweeping views from the living area and main bedrooms. Enjoy your own private bush garden and the abundance of visiting birds. Furnished to executive standard the house has two decks, one with outdoor furniture and barbecue. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel cooker and cooktop, microwave and dishwasher. The cupboards are well-stocked with crockery and utensils. Full laundry facilities are available. The house sleeps six in three large bedrooms - two queen bedded rooms (one with ensuite), and the third has two single beds. The main bathroom has a separate toilet. Quality bedlinen and towels are provided, with hand-made soaps made with local eucalyptus oil, honey and lavender. Environmentally friendly cleaning products are provided, so you only need to bring your food. We live in the adjacent house and are happy to assist with your sightseeing plans, restaurant bookings etc. American River is ideally located as a base for visiting the Island National Parks and attractions, and our guests always comment on the relaxing comfort of the 4 1/2 star home that welcomes them at the end of a busy day of sightseeing!

American River began life as a small fishing community, and retains it's village appeal with the benefits of a local shop and Post Office, walking tracks and two quality restaurants. Enjoy the gentle activity of the jetty with boats coming and going, with visiting seabirds and dolphins. A leisurely walk in the evenings will introduce you to tammar wallabies and brush tailed possums. You will also see the endangered glossy black cockatoo with striking red feathers flying overhead. The outer bay offers excellent sailing and fishing in semi protected waters.
