Stonewood Retreat is the newest eco-friendly luxury sanctuary set on 2.5 acres of lush Australian Tropical Rainforest within the Daintree National Park.

The size of our accommodation is deceiving from the outside, the high ceilings, antique windows and timber crafted finishes sets the tone. There's an interesting contrast here.a great sense of freedom and a warm feeling of being nurtured by the arty rustic design, and yet a bright & sunny house with amazing surroundings.

Open spaces that welcome the outside in. Views of the Daintree Rainforest from every corner of the house defines the Retreat.

When you enter the house that is Stonewood Retreat, immediately you get a sense of open plan that allows the sun to spill in from every angle, but filtered through the cool of the forest.
Timber beams enhance this philosophy of maintaining a natural surrounding from within, coupled with a generous open plan modern kitchen.

As you drive into the Retreat, the entrance sets the mood for what will greet you.

Our gardens and landscaping give you a common place that welcomes you into the natural forest surroundings, you will discover something new with every step. Pathways that lead to secret places each with their own surprise, and others with breath taking elements.

Our natural rock pool is set amongst the most amazing slice of forest in our region.Only a short stroll from the house & within the property, our Nature Pool is a sight to behold.
ABSOLUTE PRIVATE, described by guests as `just like being on your own "Mossman Gorge". We have been told that images we have taken do not give it the justice it deserves.

You can literally spend hours swimming in our refreshing rock pool or just sit on the giant sun warmed rocks, taking in the views and the ambiance of the Daintree Rainforest.

Locality

Our Daintree, Cape Tribulation executive accommodation is located two hours drive north from Cairns International Airport. The drive follows the coast and is very scenic, taking in beautiful beaches, australian bush and sugar cane fields.
You will pass the towns of Port Douglas and Mossman along the way. Once you cross the Daintree River by ferry, you will then enter deep in the heart of the Daintree National Park. We are about 20Km north from the ferry, and 20Km south of Cape Tribulation.
The Great Barrier Reef is on one side and the oldest World Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest on the other.
