Holiday house
Kangaroo Island is a pictureque island off the coast of South Australia. Renowned for the abundance of the premier King George Whiting it boasts excellent fishing right around the island. Along with a thriving maron and oyster industry the seafood is world class. There are several local wineries that sell their produce direct at the cellar door. Penguins are viewed at night along with the numerous kangaroos and wallabies that inhabit the island. Other animals imclude koalas, echidnas and goannas. Birdlife abounds on the island, a real birdwatchers paradise. Bimberta Cottage is set in a quiet location, sit back under the pergola and listen to the birds while you cook the BBQ or enjoy a quiet drink. Walk along the picturesque seashore and walking trails breathing the clean air and just relax forgetting about the traffic and pollution of the mainland. Travelling around the island there are so many interesting places to see I would suggest that a minimum stay of at least 5 days would be a must.
There are numerous testimonials in the visitors book praising the property for its size and cleanliness. Also numerous visitor comments on places they have visited and recommend. A recent comment was:Had a fabulous time, will definitely stay again. The house is lovely, reminds us of our place at Middleton. We felt very relaxed there, not quite as relaxed as the locals, wish we lived there. Other comments:peaceful, cosy, clean, quiet location, everything we needed, loved the nature and wildlife, lots of fish
American River
American River is a premier location for the catching of King George Whiting and I can assist with bookings for half and full day tours catching whiting, snapper, snook, squid and many other varieties. The local charter operator has a lifetime of knowledge fishing the area and makes every effort to ensure your trip is something you will always remember. On the return journey he feeds the pelicans and pacific gulls which fly to the rear of the boat and take the fish straight out of your hands, a wonderful experience and fantastic photo opportunity. (see picture in gallery) Walk along the forshore and see the pelicans, black swans and often the dolphins are swimming along the channel. So don't miss out, if you have any queries or requests in relation to Kangaroo Island please contact me and I will be only too happy to help you out.
