ACTON LODGE is one of two self contained cottages originally constructed on historic Acton estate for the farm workers. Both have been fully restored and refurbished to provide luxury accommodation in a tranquil environment, just fifteen minutes drive from the Hobart CBD.
Cosiness is a feature of the sandstone cottage, with an open fireplace in the living room providing ambience and electric panel and underfloor heating to ensure your comfort.
The dining area overlooks landscaped gardens and paddocks to the sparkling waters of Seven Mile Beach.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and a separate laundry.
With two bedrooms, the Lodge is ideally suited to two couples travelling together or a family group.
The Lodge has three verandahs for guests to choose from. A gas BBQ is provided for alfresco dinning
There is ample parking in the spacious
grounds for each cottage.

LocalityActon Park is situated between Hobart and the Airport, making the cottages popular for tourists arriving late evening or leaving early morning.
The cottage is close to Seven Mile Beach and is conveniently located for touring Port Arthur, Richmond Village, the Coal Valley wine region and most of southern Tasmania's major tourist attractions.
The cottage is within five minutes drive of Hobart's major golf courses including Royal Hobart and Tasmania Golf Clubs. PropertyActon House is one of Tasmania's older homesteads and is listed on the National Estate. Built as a farming property around 1830 by convict labour, the main house and cottages are now surrounded with gardens and parkland on 15 Acres.
In the mid 1900s Acton became a popular riding school, with the stables and shearing shed providing ideal facilities for young riders.
Robert and Margaret Brand acquired the property in 1989. By this time the land had been reduced to 15 acres. Over the last 18 years they have restored the cottages and transformed horse paddocks into gardens and parkland that complement the accommodation experience.
