8.30am departure from Alice Springs. First Camp at Chambers Pillar Reserve
Historic Alice Well on the Hugh River. South along the Old Ghan Rail Line to Finke. Over the S.A border to Mt Dare Hotel.

Travel through Witjira National Park to Dalhousie Thermal Pools. Swimming here. After lunch we head east onto the Rig Road to Purni Bore

Past the French Line we turn south heading for the Lone Gum Tree, near the Rig Road and Erabena Track Corner. North along Erabena to WAA Line.
30 kms east along WAA over uncapped dunes to the Knolls Track.

Then we join the French Line and continue east towards Poeppels Corner. Detouring north back into the N.T to camp at Lake Mirraponga Porgunna.

Return to the French Line and onto Poeppel's Corner the junction of NT;SA & Qld. North across salt Lakes to the QAA line towards Eyre Creek,
Over Big Red and into Birdsville for two nights Sightseeing and relaxing at Birdsville. Recommend a visit to the unique Working Museum.

South along the modern Birdsville Track, now a well-maintained road, (or weather conditions permitting, we may take the Inside Track, through Goyders Lagoon) heading for a beautiful remote camp site beside a creek which usually has water, attracting many birds. We are privileged to enjoy exclusive rights to camp on this Cattle Station for two nights

Back to the Birdsville Track then southwards across Cooper Creek Valley & on to the junction of the Birdsville & Oodnadatta Tracks at the historic railway town of Marree. Time and opportunity for flight over Lake Eyre. (Optional; Own Expense) 90km’s north up the Oodnadatta Track to Lake Eyre South.

Up the Oodnadatta track following the remnants of the Old Ghan Rail line. East over Old Ghan Line to the now almost forgotten Peake Telegraph Station Ruins

Return to the Oodnadatta Track and onto the Algebuckina Bridge.. The longest Bridge on the Old Ghan Rail Line.Circa:1891. Oodnadatta. Eringa and back to Mt Dare

North through the Finke River Floodout on the NT-SA border to. Molly Clarks Pi
